Founded in 2017, we're delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.Process Technician, PACMANThe Process Technician, PACMAN plays a key role in launching and supporting a new production line by helping set up and test equipment, create and document workflows, keep equipment running smoothly, and step in to support day-to-day operations as needed.Responsibilities will include:Constructing and installing process equipment on a new manufacturing lineSupport day-to-day operations of a continuously running assembly line, including assembly and maintenance of equipment, material staging, pallet jack operation, and performing actions within production systems and other Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)Participate in root cause analysis with cross-functional teamsIdentify potential safety improvements with the Manufacturing team and work with cross-functional teams to implementProduction inventory control tasks such as interfacing with Production Control for daily material orders, maintaining and adjusting lineside inventory to match changing production plans, and communicating material pick-up needsInvestigate and implement countermeasures to improve processes by working with Manufacturing, EHS, Process Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Maintenance, etc.Operate, develop written processes, and train on manufacturing equipment and powered industrial equipment (forklifts)Assist in the implementation and creation of manufacturing strategies to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime on the lineFoster a culture of safety and compliance, with a strong focus on the safe use of production and material-handling equipmentPositively contributes within the team environment and collaborates across business unitsFollow and adhere to all Redwood policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, attendance, conduct, quality, and ethical workplace behavior.Desired Qualifications: 2+ years in a manufacturing/production or warehouse environmentPrevious experience in an electronic assembly, engineering technician, or Maintenance roles preferredSkilled navigation of complicated HMIs to access relevant data in support of process evaluationDetail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skillsExperience with writing and/or editing technical proceduresExcellent critical thinking and time management skillsAbility to follow complex written work instructionsAbility to adapt to a changing environmentAbility to use scanners, label printers, and other IT/OT equipmentProficient hazard recognition skillsA Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!Physical Requirements:Complete a respiratory fit test and medical evaluation and wear a fitted respirator for the full shiftStand for extended periods (more than 80% of the shift)Stoop, bend, push, pull and perform repetitive physical tasksOperate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machineryOccasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbsWorking Conditions:Role includes work in indoor and outdoor environmentsExposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures, including heat and coldMay be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays based on operational needsThe position is full-time.
