Tal Behavioral Health - We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Supporter to join our team. As a Certified Peer Supporter, you will provide invaluable support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges by sharing your own lived experiences.Duties:Provide support and mentorship to peers through shared experiences.Assist in the development and facilitation of peer support groups.Assist clients in finding resources for harm reduction, detoxification treatment, family support, and support groupsCollaborate with mental health professionals to enhance support services.Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and peer notes of time spent and services providedThrough identifying as a person in recovery and intentionally sharing their recovery story; use this as appropriate means to assist clients, provide hope, and help in changing patterns and behaviorsHelp peers understand recovery, as well as identify and achieve their own recovery needs, wants and goalsTransport Clients as neededProvide information and opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery and advocacy processes - individualized recovery action plans will be utilized to assist and guide individuals toward their own personal goalsProvide recovery resources to individuals and their family membersAdvocate for the needs of each individualComplete caseload management including all necessary documentationCommunicate with healthcare staff to build a rapport and coordinate careComplete all supervision and attend required meetings and documentation to ensure compliance with regulationsOther duties as assignedQualifications: - Ohio Certification as a Peer Supporter- Proficiency in crisis intervention and management - Experience in addiction counseling and mental health support - Strong understanding of behavioral health principles - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team - Prior experience in social work or mental health counseling is preferred.Joining our team as a Certified Peer Supporter offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others while further developing your skills in mental health support.
