At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference.Position SummaryThe Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for sustaining technically sound and marketable products using imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesOpportunity to work within a large global organizationStrong cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Quality, and ManufacturingVisit local suppliers, support Power Electronics Manufacturing & TestResponsible for new product electronic design and the life cycle of a number of platforms in a sustaining role and continuous improvement environmentHas latitude in technical decisions and approaches, but seeks out specialist guidance for complex issuesDemonstrates domain knowledge with high level understanding of design processes and procedures with ability to train othersApplies knowledge and experience to develop/enhance designs, processes, and toolsCreates strong network with other senior professionals internally and externallyAdvanced oral and written communication skillsExpected to create internal/external presentations of professional qualityCommunication indicates knowledge of subject matter, particularly in customer/supplier interactionPrepares clear, technically accurate and documented design explanationPresentations to customers are still reviewed by othersCommunicates in a positive, calm, and professional mannerUnderstands commercially sensitive information, including how, when, and with whom to share itQualificationsBachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a minimum of 8 years’ experienceKnowledge of Power Electronics, Manufacturing Test, PCB Layouts and IPC StandardsExtensive Circuit Analysis, Testing and Troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of these software applications a plus:Altium, Jira, DOORS, Matlab, LABVIEW, LTSpice, pSPICE, MS Office 365Experience and proficient at working across functions within the organization.Experience in working in a multi-cultural / diverse organization - preferredWilling to challenge the status quo – preferredComplete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of electronics.Experience with medium power Electronics, switching power supply designExperience with power Electronics thermal performance and managementExperience with designing for, testing and resolving DO-160 EMC requirementsPower Supply Design/Development and Manufacturing ExperienceCome join the Parker Aerospace Team!
