Crane Maintenance Technician

About the Role We are seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair overhead cranes, focusing on electrical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of crane equipment, contributing to the smooth flow of production. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Maintain and repair overhead cranes, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including those related to electrical systems, AC Drives, Static Stepless, AC Contactor, and PLC controls. Inspect and maintain 3 Phase 480 power, AC magnet controllers, and DC magnet controllers. Service mechanical systems, including gearboxes, wheels, couplings, and structural components. Document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with team members. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Required Skills At least one year of experience in an industrial maintenance environment or equivalent experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems. Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off the ground. High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Skills Experience with electrical systems, AC Drives, Static Stepless, AC Contactor, and PLC controls. Familiarity with mechanical systems, gearboxes, wheels, and couplings. Ability to provide detailed written reports and communicate effectively.
