Bi-vocational Pastor (Part-Time) Highpoint Baptist Church – Alexandria, KY About Highpoint Highpoint Baptist Church is a historic congregation in Alexandria, KY, with roots dating to the mid-1800s. We are a family of believers committed to loving God wholeheartedly, loving others sacrificially, and making disciples, with a goal for active ministries for children, teens, and community outreach including a food pantry and other local care efforts. Key Responsibilities · Preach and teach weekly from Scripture, leading the church in sound doctrine. · Provide pastoral care through prayer, visitation, counseling, and officiating weddings/funerals. · Collaborate with elders and lay leaders to guide church vision and governance. · Represent Christ and the church in the community, encouraging outreach and missions. Biblical Qualifications Candidates must meet the pastoral qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:2–3, including: · Above reproach, blameless, and demonstrated integrity. · Self-controlled, disciplined, and spiritually mature. · Gentle and peaceable, not quarrelsome or quick-tempered. · Faithful in family life and respected by outsiders. · Able to teach, devoted to truth, and committed to sound doctrine. · A willing shepherd who leads by example rather than personal gain.
