This is a full-time opportunity with a world-class hardwood lumber organization that values safety, teamwork, and long-term career growth. The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support daily mill and yard operations while maintaining productivity and quality standards.Why Join Us?Full-Time, Direct Hire PositionCompetitive PayComprehensive Benefits Package Including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance & 401kPaid Vacation and Holidays Equipment Operator Responsibilities:Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, excavators, and other material handling equipmentLoad, unload, transport, and organize logs, lumber, and other materials throughout the facility and yardPerform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance checksMaintain safe and efficient operation of equipment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulationsAssist with yard organization and inventory movement to support production operationsMonitor equipment performance and report maintenance or safety concerns promptlyWork closely with production and yard personnel to maintain workflow efficiencyMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, logging, sawmill, or construction environment preferredAbility to safely operate loaders, forklifts, or other industrial equipmentStrong awareness of workplace safety practicesMechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment inspectionsDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environmentsAbility to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods as neededAbility to work independently and as part of a team About Us: The Baillie Group is one of North America's leading hardwood lumber manufacturers and distributors, proudly family-owned and operated for generations.
