With a team that has over 100 years of experience in solid-state cooling, thermoelectric devices and structures, and thermal management, we provide environmentally friendly, sustainable solid-state heating, cooling, and energy harvesting technologies with ground-breaking efficiencies.We are currently seeking an experienced Test Engineer or Team Lead to join our thermoelectrics test engineering team in Austin, Texas. This role will be responsible for the characterization of thermoelectric (TE) materials and devices using LabVIEW-based data acquisition systems. The successful candidate will coordinate testing schedules, communicate testing capabilities across technical teams, and provide mentorship and support to other test and failure analysis engineers. Additionally, this individual will help drive the development and expansion of metrology capabilities to support evolving business and engineering needs.QualificationsBS in Mechanical, Electrical engineering or similar field, MS/PhD is a plus3-5 years work/laboratory experience, characterization of thermoelectric devices preferredKnowledge of test automation tools such as LabVIEW, Python or MATLABKnowledge of data processing and reporting through Python or MATLAB and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of data instrumentation and collection (digital multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, relay switching)Familiar with vacuum chambers and vacuum hardware (pumps, valves, hosing, sealants)Experience with CAD using Solidworks or similar is a plusExperience with 3-D printing for rapid prototyping is a plusResponsibilities: Perform TE material characterization to extract electrical conductivity, Seebeck and Hall parameters in custom-made test chambersPerform TE device characterization to extract maximum parameters (voltage, current) and electrical properties (RDC, RAC)Perform standard wafer-level electrical measurements via probing on manual and semi-automatic probe stationsCreate internal reports to summarize measurement results for distribution and presentationLead meetings to discuss TE material or device test results and data analysis that impact decision-making for material modeling and selection of TE materialsWrite and modify LabVIEW test programs and data processing tools to improve testing throughput and efficiencyMaintain, modify and design custom test fixtures as neededBenefits$120k - $150k base401k matchPTOFull benefits including medical, dental, and visionOpportunity for professional growthGreat company culture and work-life balance!Much more!
