Night Custodian Sweeper - Lebanon Junction Elementary

Join us for the 2026-2027 school year!Lebanon Junction Elementary is seeking a night sweeper. This position will begin in fall of 2026 when school begins. The night sweeper is responsible for preparing the building for the following school day. Duties consist of cleaning bathrooms, emptying classroom garbage, sweeping classrooms, mopping, cleaning glass, and other tasks. Hours are 3:30pm-8:15pm Position Details Hours: 4.75 hours per day Contract Length: 182 days per year 170 student instructional days4 holidays7 plannning days1 extended dayContract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start dateEmployment StatusFull-time with benefitsEmployment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:High school diploma or GEDDocumentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.Compensation & Experience CreditSalary for the 2026-2027 school year will be based on Board approved salary schedule.2025-2026 Pay ScaleStarting Pay (Step 0): $14.41/hour Experienced Pay (Step 10): $16.40/hourWe value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired. New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June. Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary.
