Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, Manufacturing / Industrial Equipment sector is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Department supporting Operations, Production, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and a continuous improvement mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Milwaukee, WIPay Range: 32.36/hr.What’s the Job?Design, optimize, and improve manufacturing cells and production flow lines with focus on safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. Lead safety initiatives by identifying hazards, supporting remediation efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and training requirements. Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools, including Kaizen events and performance metrics tracking. Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving to ensure quality, cost, and performance targets are met, while mentoring others in structured methodologies. Support new product development and capital projects, including design for manufacturability, equipment selection, and cross-functional project coordination. What’s Needed?Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and general computer systems. Experience with Lean manufacturing tools (5S, value stream mapping, standard work, visual controls). Understanding of root cause analysis tools (8D, PFMEA, Pareto charts, control charts, etc.).
