Housekeeping / Laundry AssistantLocation: River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation - Evansville, IN Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift | Every Other Weekend Position Overview:River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant to support daily operations at our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Key ResponsibilitiesFollow established housekeeping procedures to ensure cleanliness and infection control standards are met. Collect, sort, and launder facility and resident linens. Fold, hang, and distribute personal laundry to resident rooms accurately. Organize and properly store clean clothing (closets, drawers, designated storage areas). Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly. Support facility cleanliness initiatives and adhere to safety protocols. QualificationsPrevious experience in housekeeping, laundry services, or a related field preferred. Familiarity with cleaning supplies, laundry equipment, and sanitation best practices. Must be at least 18 years of age. Reliable, team-oriented, and compassionate in working with elderly residents. Ability to meet physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting.
