Engineer I
Overview
As an Entry-Level Data Center Engineer you support design, implementation, and commissioning of data center systems across power, cooling, controls, and monitoring. You work with experienced engineers on real projects, gaining hands-on experience to grow into an independent engineer. The role offers a clear path toward specialization in Controls, Electrical, or Project Engineering. You contribute to cross-functional teams and help ensure client uptime and standards alignment.

ResponsibilitiesSupport design and deployment of data center infrastructure systems (power, cooling, controls, monitoring)Contribute to technical documentation including drawings, specs, and commissioning plansParticipate in on-site testing, startup, and commissioning activitiesAssist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls issuesSupport integration of Building Management Systems (BMS) and DCIM platformsCollaborate with senior engineers to meet client requirements and uptime expectationsMaintain project documentation and contribute to reportsCollaborate with project managers, field technicians, and clientsRepresent the company values and support associate development
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, co-ops, and lab work preferredFoundational understanding of electrical or mechanical systemsStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environmentAbility to read and interpret basic technical drawings and schematicsWillingness to travel 30-50% (mostly local with remote support)Teamwork and collaboration mindsetcollaboration and teamworkstrong problem-solvingwillingness to learnexposure to PLC or DDC controlled data center projectsHVAC or cooling systemsPLCs, SCADA, or BMS platforms
