Child Care Director
The Robin’s Nest Child Enrichment Center of Gifford is seeking an experienced Child Care Director to lead our high-quality early childhood education program. The Child Care Director will ensure that the program provides a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.This role oversees daily operations, ensures compliance with Vermont state licensing requirements, and promotes positive child development through effective curriculum implementation and staff support.The Director works closely with teachers, families, and community partners to maintain a well-organized, responsive program that meets the needs of children and supports family engagement. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching staff, monitoring classroom quality, managing program participation in state and federal initiatives, and ensuring ongoing staff training and development.This position requires a hands-on, collaborative leader who is committed to excellence in early childhood education, regulatory compliance, and creating a positive, supportive environment for children, families, and staff.Requirements BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or related field Must be 21 years of age or olderCompleted a 3-credit college course in Program Management for early care and education, or in Staff Supervision related to early care and education, and a Completed a 3-credit college course in CurriculumMinimum of two years of experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years of ageExperience working with:STARS (Vermont’s Quality Recognition and Improvement System)TSG (Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment Platform)CCFAP (Vermont’s Child Care Financial Assistance Program)CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program)License Requirements: CPR and First Aid certification requiredComplete a 3-credit college course in Managing Early Care and Education Program to include budgeting and financial management.
