Join our supportive leisure team whose job it is to help people live their best lives — whether they’re on holiday, visiting an attraction or treating loved ones to a special experience.About The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Sous Chef to join our talented team of chefs in Trattoria Amici Italian Restaurant.This could be just the right role for you?Reporting to the head chef, you will contribute to effectively managing the operations of Trattoria Amici Italian Restaurant, leading by example, to ensure the kitchen is productive and runs seamlessly. Your key responsibilities for the role include: Producing consistent and high-quality food productsEffectively manage and lead a teamCommunicating with the kitchen and food & beverage teamPlacing orders on time, stock requisitions, budgeting and knowledge of food COGSContributing towards events, promotions, displays & other specialist activitiesDeveloping and maintaining maintenance schedules to ensure complianceContributing to the financial viability and sustainabilityBuilding positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure a safe workplace is maintainedFull availability and flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster is required, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.What You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulExperience in a senior chef role, in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, Italian restaurant, or similar environmentCertificate 3 in Commercial Cookery qualificationLeadership experience with a strong focus on producing a high standard of quality and presentation Train the trainer, First Aid & HACCP training or safe food handling certificate, desirableCommitted to delivering 5 star customer service, motivated and a drive to succeedAttention to detail, strong time management, communication and interpersonal skillsWork well with others and thrive in a fast paced team environmentAbility to perform physical requirements of the role, eg working on your feet & heavy lifting Excellent personal presentationWe are OfferingCompetitive Salary + penalties evenings, weekends & public holidaysDiscounts on RACV products & resortsUniform + Free parking onsiteEmployee of the month recognitionThe RACV differenceBe part of a team who cares.
