Pipeline Welder

Ryanco Construction is seeking an experienced Pipeline Welder to support upcoming oil & gas projects throughout Southern California. We specialize in small- to mid-size pipeline, civil, mechanical, and energy-infrastructure scopes for terminals, utilities, and midstream operators. We’re looking for a highly skilled, safety-driven welder who takes pride in quality work and understands the standards required in regulated facilities. Responsibilities Perform high-quality stick welding (SMAW) on pipelines, facility piping, and structural components Complete welds to API 1104 and ASME B31.3 requirements Fit, weld, and install pipe and related components in accordance with project specifications Assist with tie-ins, valve replacements, integrity digs, and above-ground piping Support ILI repair work, coating removal/repair, and weld prep Work with Ryanco superintendents and operators to ensure safe and efficient execution Follow all site safety standards, operator requirements, and QA/QC procedures Participate in safety meetings, JHAs, and field documentation Qualifications 5+ years pipeline or oil & gas facility welding experience Proficient with stick (SMAW) welding — downhill pipeline experience preferred Strong understanding of API 1104 weld quality standards Experience with ASME B31.3 process piping Ability to pass client-required welding tests Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong commitment to safety, documentation, and craftsmanship Experience in refineries, terminals, or midstream pipeline environments preferred Preferred (but not required) Rig welder with own truck & equipment Coating/field joint prep experience Knowledge of oil & gas facility safety systems and hot-work procedures TWIC card (a plus for terminal work) What We Offer Project-based work with opportunity for steady long-term roles Competitive rates based on experience and qualifications Growth opportunities with an expanding energy-infrastructure contractor A safety-focused environment where skilled craftsmanship is valued Pay: $26.99 - $32.51 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Work Location: In person
