IntroductionThe Prince William County Tax Administration Office is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional for our Returns Processing and Data Management team! This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience with business accounts, and administrative excellence. In this role, you will process all forms of mail and assist with business tax data entry, inputting accurate information and requesting required documentation. We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, attention to detail, with an ability to multi-task.About This RoleThe Prince William County Tax Administration Office is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our data processing team. We are looking for a positive, team-oriented individual who can provide professional support to Returns Processing and Data Management team and Tax Administration as a whole. As a key member of our team, you will assist our team by processing and scanning mail, data entry on business tax returns, helping to update, open, and close various tax accounts. This role is an in-office position and is not eligible for telework.What You Will DoSort daily mail and distribute to designated areasScan all work for Returns Processing & Data Management teamUpdate, open and close tax accountsProcess business related tax returns Research and resolve tax account discrepanciesUtilize various software systems, including Tax Administration system, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or G.E.DPreferencesTwo (2) years of data processingExperience handling confidential informationExperience working in a Public Sector Tax OfficeExperience working with an automated tax payment softwareSpecial RequirementsThe selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.Work ScheduleMonday through Friday: There are two shifts: 8:00 to 4:30 and 8:30 to 5:00 that will be decided by your supervisor.
