CNC Lathe Machine Lead

Job Description Fuze HR Solutions is actively hiring for a CNC Lathe Machinist Lead for an aerospace manufacturing and machining company. Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.As a CNC Lathe Machinist Lead, you will be expected to handle the following: CNC Operation & Setup: Set up and operate 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes with sub-spindles; perform basic programming and edits using MasterCAM.Production Leadership: Oversee and coordinate a small production team (1–3 employees) across two shifts, managing daily workflow and department schedules.Quality & Efficiency: Monitor operations to ensure parts meet quality, accuracy, and efficiency standards; perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools and recommend process improvements.Tooling & Fixturing: Plan and organize appropriate tooling and fixturing for work orders to support smooth production.Cross-Department Communication: Maintain strong communication with programming, tooling, scheduling, and management teams to align production goals.Administrative Oversight: Ensure accurate submission of labor tickets, time cards, and work order documentation; update setup sheets as needed.Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company standards.Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of Machine Shop Lead experience5+ years CNC Lathe machining experienceExcellent attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinkingGood work ethic and positive attitude, team player, leads by exampleExcellent attendance and time managementStanding and sitting for extended periods of time in a warehouse environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening.
