Strong understanding of national security issues, intelligence gathering, and policy development. Salary:Commensurate with experience.Responsibilities:SANCORP is seeking a Special Operations Support Policy Staff Officer I to provide support to the Sensitive Activities & Special Programs (SASP) Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). The following are examples of responsibilities:Support the oversight, management, and support to a broad spectrum of complex sensitive programs and activities. Assist with planning, directing, and coordinating the development of policies related to sensitive activities and support for issues that require short notice information and decision support requirements for DoD senior leaders. Gather, synthesize, review and/or prepare background, information and read ahead materials for issues and engagements regarding intelligence and intelligence related policy, program, and activity support to special operations including support to counterterrorism and irregular warfare. Support the development, review, and revision of strategy and policy direction for the coordination, assessment, reporting, and conduct of sensitive activities. Support to special operations.
