OverviewTravel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Circulator) in Milan, NM. Start date May 25, 2026 for a 13-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 1st Shift. This hospital perioperative role focuses on patient advocacy and overall nursing care in the OR, coordinating the surgical team and maintaining a sterile, safe environment in a resource-limited setting.Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,283 – $2,399 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st Shift Start date: May 25, 2026 Setting: Hospital OR environmentResponsibilities Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures as the OR Circulator Verify patient identity, surgical site, consent, and history; participate in time-out procedures; advocate for the anesthetized patient throughout the perioperative phase Prepare the OR suite with instruments, supplies, and equipment; maintain aseptic technique and coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and scrub personnel Manage non-sterile intraoperative tasks: open sterile supplies, handle specimens, document intraoperative events, and maintain accurate surgical counts Continuously monitor patient status and vital signs; document responses and collaborate with anesthesia to ensure stability Document nursing care, medications, implants, supplies, and patient responses in the electronic health record per policy and regulatory standards; participate in QA and safety initiativesRequirements Education: ADN or BSN; BSN preferred Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico; compact nursing license may be substituted for NM licensure Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required (or obtain within 6 months); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred or required based on services; CNOR preferred Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of OR circulator experience strongly preferred; experience in Critical Access Hospital, rural, or small facility is a plus; knowledge of general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, endoscopy, and minor trauma is preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, aseptic technique, and EHR documentation; excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, resource-limited setting Licensure/Eligibility: Current NM RN license or valid compact nursing license for NM; ability to obtain NM privileges as requiredBenefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 40 per week 13-week assignment with clear start date and schedule Travel assignment support and dedicated recruiter assistance On-call rotation for after-hours surgical emergencies Access to electronic health record systems and hospital policies in perioperative careFind more opportunitiesCandidates are invited to explore additional openings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMER RULE:Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
