Job Title: Global Director of QMS & ComplianceLocation: Goodyear, AZ / Buffalo, NYCompany: GTI Energy / GTI FabricationEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryThe Global Director of QMS & Compliance is responsible for leading, developing, and sustaining GTI Energy’s Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance programs across all locations. This role ensures alignment with ISO 9001 standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality objectives while driving a culture of continuous improvement, risk-based thinking, and operational excellence.This leader will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to ensure consistent quality standards, audit readiness, and scalable processes that support business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesQMS Leadership & StrategyLead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global QMS aligned with ISO 9001 standardsEstablish and standardize quality policies, procedures, and documentation across all sitesEnsure consistency and scalability of QMS processes to support growth and new site integrationCompliance & Audit ManagementEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and internal requirementsOversee internal and external audits, including ISO certification and surveillance auditsMaintain audit readiness and drive timely closure of audit findings and corrective actionsContinuous Improvement & Risk ManagementDrive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes using methodologies such as 8D, A3, and PFMEAPromote risk-based thinking and proactive defect prevention across operationsLead enterprise-level initiatives to improve quality performance, reduce scrap, and enhance process capabilityOperational & Cross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality is embedded in processesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) and APQP activities to ensure successful product launchesAlign quality objectives with business KPIs and operational goalsData, Metrics & ReportingEstablish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for quality performanceProvide executive-level reporting on QMS effectiveness, risks, and improvement initiativesUse data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategic prioritiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing quality and compliance teamFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementProvide guidance and training on QMS standards and compliance requirements across the organizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (Master’s preferred)10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in manufacturing (metal fabrication or industrial environment preferred)Strong expertise in ISO 9001 and quality management systemsExperience leading audits, compliance programs, and multi-site QMS environmentsDeep knowledge of RCCA methodologies (8D, A3), APQP, PFMEA, and control plansProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiativesStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsASQ Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, or similar)Experience in a global or multi-site manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with automation, digital QMS tools, or system integrationWhy Join GTI EnergyOpportunity to build and shape a global QMS strategyHigh-impact leadership role with executive visibilityCollaborative, growth-focused environment driving operational excellence
