Who We’re Seeking AUTEC seeks a Electromechanical Technical Support Technician who will provide top-notch technical assistance and customer service for our automated car wash equipment and peripheral systems. This role involves addressing technical issues, conducting system setups, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution and follow-up. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual who is ready to contribute to our team’s success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong technical background in electromechanical systems, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to customers. Success in this role means being able to handle multiple technical challenges efficiently, provide outstanding customer support, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor under pressure. What You’ll Do Customer Interaction: Answer inbound communication from customers, including phone calls, emails, and texts, to assist with system issues. Technical Resolution: Investigate and diagnose technical problems to find effective solutions for customers, ensuring timely follow-up until resolution. Data Handling: Manage the extraction, importation, exportation, and analysis of data during troubleshooting processes. Comprehensive Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues that span networking, hardware, software, Internet connectivity, power systems, electrical components, and user errors. Issue Logging: Record all customer-reported issues in a tracking system and provide updates on unresolved problems. Knowledge Documentation: Create detailed documentation for newly discovered resolutions to enhance the support knowledge base. System Installation: Set up and configure new customer systems, ensuring they are ready for use. Quality Assurance: Participate in system testing as required for quality assurance to ensure product functionality and reliability. Emergency Support: Join an after-hours rotation schedule to offer emergency technical support when needed. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the company’s technical operations and customer satisfaction. Are You Qualified? Prefer a strong candidate with an Associate Degree in any electromechanical fields or industrial technology along with significant related work experience. Hands-on ability to use tools and/or electrical test equipment as required to replace, repair, or adjust parts and systems as necessary. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, ERP, and ticketing systems. Excellent technical troubleshooting aptitude, oral and written communication skills, and customer service skills, Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, especially with the electromechanical devices that are used in the automation and control of those systems.
