Requirements Medical experience preferred Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers and electronic record systems Ability to track detailed information accurately Strong research and organizational skills Ability to manage records from multiple facilities Familiarity with medical billing or surgical coding processes preferred Ability to handle confidential medical information Job Duties Gather surgical documentation and information needed for medical coding Send surgery batches to external coding specialists through shared electronic folders Retrieve coded worksheets and prepare charges for entry into practice management systems Maintain detailed logs of procedures performed across multiple healthcare facilities Verify that all procedures are billed accurately and completely Communicate coding questions and documentation requests to physicians Request corrections and updates to operative reports from healthcare facilities Access hospital portals to retrieve required patient and procedure information Enter surgery charges accurately into billing systems Track documentation, coding status, and billing activity to ensure timely processing Benefits Consistent daytime schedule Professional medical-office environment Experience with surgical billing and coding coordination Additional benefit information will be provided during the hiring process Friendly Team.
