Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage private fleet equipment and labor Control freight costs through daily contract truckload scheduling. Control freight costs by assisting customers and suppliers in load scheduling Monitor freight audit contractor activities Support DOT Transportation guidelines and interpretation for moving hazardous materials Ensure DOT compliance with driver logs, truck insurance, and all related requirements Freight audit and manual invoice process management Provide transportation support through the KGP Logistics ACD customer service line and the transportation mailbox Single point of contact to the KGP Logistics and International mailbox Serve as administrator to the KGP Logistics Routing guide Provide transportation solutions for new business cases Serve as project manager to implement transportation solutions Provide research, price quoting, and solutions to RFP’s and RFI’s (Request for Price and Request for Information) Re-consignment of shipments and direct carrier contact Serve as a resource to the freight audit and payment process Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.Mathematical SkillAbility to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.Reasoning AbilityNo major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules.
