Structural Engineer

Job DescriptionStructural EngineerA growing and respected steel construction company is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of structural steel and building projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on real-world construction challenges, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring structural integrity from concept through completion.The Structural Engineer will work closely with project managers, detailers, fabricators, and field teams to review designs, perform calculations, and support the successful delivery of structural steel and building projects. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to be involved in both design and practical construction applications.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for steel structures and building systemsReview structural drawings, calculations, and project specificationsDevelop and verify engineering calculations for structural steel components and connectionsCoordinate with project managers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field personnelReview shop drawings and submittals for structural complianceAssist with resolving field issues and responding to RFIsSupport project teams with engineering guidance during fabrication and erectionEnsure designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural EngineeringPE license or actively working toward PE licensure2+ years of structural engineering experience preferredStrong understanding of structural steel design principlesAbility to read and interpret structural drawings and specificationsExperience with structural analysis and engineering softwareStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience working with structural steel systemsFamiliarity with AISC, IBC, and relevant structural design standardsExperience coordinating with fabrication shops and construction teamsBackground working in structural consulting, fabrication, or steel constructionCompensation & Benefits$85,000 - $120,000 DOEMedical, Dental, VisionPTO & Paid Holidays401(k)Professional development and PE supportLong-term growth opportunitiesIf you are an engineer who enjoys working on steel structures and building systems while collaborating with construction teams, we would like to hear from you.Send your resume to: justin.knitt@gogpac.com
