Job #: 106098 Title: 2nd Shift - Composites Component Finisher / Painter - Actively taking applications- Location: Erie, PA Salary Range: Starting @ $15.00 per hour Position: Painter Description: Position OverviewWe are looking for a skilled 2nd shift Composite Component Finisher / Painter to prepare, finish, and paint composite parts to meet strict quality and cosmetic standards.This role plays a key part in delivering visually flawless and performance-ready components.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare composite surfaces through sanding, filling, trimming, and polishingApply primers, paints, clear coats, and specialty finishes to partsOperate spray guns, sanding tools, and finishing equipment according to specificationsInspect finished components for defects, consistency, and quality standardsMaintain clean and organized work areas, including spray boothsFollow all safety protocols related to chemicals, PPE, and ventilation systemsAccurately document work performed and materials usedCollaborate with production and quality teams to meet customer requirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required1-3 years of experience in painting, finishing, or composites manufacturing preferredExperience with spray painting (automotive, industrial, or aerospace) is a plusStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishesAbility to follow technical instructions and work independentlyFamiliarity with surface preparation techniques and coating processesSubmission to a criminal background check Preferred SkillsExperience with composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass)Knowledge of automotive or aerospace-grade paint systemsAbility to color match and blend finishesFamiliarity with polishing and buffing techniquesUnderstanding of OSHA safety standards for coatings and chemicals Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsLift up to 50 lbs as neededComfortable working with respirators and protective equipmentManual dexterity and steady hand control for detailed finishing work What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company matchOpportunities for advancement and skill developmentTraining in advanced composite finishing techniques#ASP1
