Construction Project Manager

Triton Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of K–12 public school construction projects. This role is responsible for full project lifecycle management, including budget, schedule, contractor coordination, and client relationships.The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Owners, Architects, and Contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents and NYSED requirements.Project Leadership & OversightLead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutManage multiple prime contractors and ensure alignment with project goalsServe as the primary liaison with school districts, design teams, and stakeholdersChair project meetings and present updates to public stakeholdersFinancial & Contract ManagementDevelop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost controlsReview and manage change orders, claims, and contract modificationsReview contractor payment requisitions and provide recommendations for approvalMaintain accurate cost reporting, logs, and forecastingSchedule & CoordinationOversee project schedules (Primavera, Microsoft Project) and milestone trackingEnsure timely flow of RFIs, submittals, and construction documentationProactively identify and mitigate risks to schedule and budgetCompliance & QualityEnsure adherence to contract documents, NYSED requirements, and public sector standardsOversee quality control and field executionPromote jobsite safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)5–10+ years of construction/project management experienceExperience with K–12, NYSED, or public agency construction projects strongly preferredProficiency in Procore, Primavera, and Microsoft ProjectLeadership & Core CompetenciesStrong leadership and decision-making capabilityExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAdvanced problem-solving and conflict resolution abilitiesHigh level of ownership, accountability, and business judgmentPreferred AttributesDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn and take initiativeTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive attitudeWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience on active K–12 construction projectsExposure to both field operations and project management processesMentorship from experienced construction professionalsFoundational skills for a career in construction managementWork EnvironmentCombination of active construction sites and project office settingsMust be comfortable working in outdoor and active jobsite conditionsEqual Opportunity StatementTriton Construction is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.Pay: $120 - 150K Base Salary + Annual Discretionary BonusLocation: Long Island, NY
