Position: Full-TimeBenefit Eligible: YesUltrasound Technologist – Cherry County Hospital & Clinic (Valentine, NE)Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in beautiful Valentine, Nebraska. This role is ideal for a technologist who values independence, teamwork, and making a direct impact on patient care in a close-knit community hospital setting.The Ultrasound Technologist performs a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, exercising independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to produce high-quality images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment. You’ll work closely with providers across clinical areas while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.If you’re looking for meaningful work, professional autonomy, and a great quality of life in a scenic rural community, we’d love to hear from you.Duties and Responsibilities- Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:To produce diagnostic ultrasound images in an acceptable and high quality manner to be interpreted by the physician or radiologistConsult with physicians and radiologistsTake calls during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduledAdhere to the ALARA principleFollow all safety requirements and regulations that pertain to service performed by the departmentMaintain radiology imagesMaintain radiology reports and ensure the reports get to the ordering physicianResponsible for the procurement, storage, and utilization of suppliesKeeps up to date with new procedures, equipment, and methodsEnsures the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, and financial records is maintainedKnowledgeable of and committed to practicing Corporate Compliance policies and proceduresComplies with Cherry County Hospital personnel policiesPerforms other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities RequiredKnowledgeable of functions of ultrasoundAbility to set up and operate equipment safely and properlyAbility to work with physicians, radiologists, cardiologists, patients, staff, and coworkersWork closely and cooperatively with department personnel, the public, and other staffKeep hospital and patient information in a confidential mannerMust be knowledgeable of state and federal confidentiality laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, and be familiar with and follow all policies, procedures and instructions regarding the privacy and security of protected health information applicable to the position.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsPhysical demands require being able to transport patients in wheelchairs and on gurneysAble to complete patient transfers in and out of wheelchairs and on and off gurneysAbility to push portable ultrasound and EKG machineRequires use of arms, legs, back, and eyes, which could cause strainRegularly involves the potential for exposure to hazardous materials such as contaminated body fluidsMust possess the knowledge and insight to comply with universal precautions, hospital policies and proceduresComprehensive Benefit Package: •Health Insurance: Co-pay or HSA plan options: 100% paid for Employee •Dental: 100% paid for Employee •Vision: 100% paid for Employee •$50,000 Group Life Insurance with AD&D •Long-Term Disability: 100% paid for Employee •Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts •Health Savings Account with employer contribution •Supplemental Insurances: Short-Term Disability, Supplemental Life and AD&D, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and Accident •Retirement Plan: 457 plan Pre-Tax and Roth options
Requirements:
Minimum Job RequirementsMust have graduated from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification Program, an accredited radiology program or began doing ultrasound prior to 2000 and be a registered ARDMS sonographer planning to become certified in the immediate future. PIb95eda6242e3-37483-36177568
