JOB TITLE: PART-TIME USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYSALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $15.45 per hour FLSA: NON-EXEMPTIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director - Network Hardware & User SupportSCHEDULE DETAILS: Part-time (not to exceed 19.5 hour per week)Position SummaryThe Part-time User Support Technician is responsible for assisting faculty, students, and staff with technical issues, via phone, email, chat or in person. Major responsibilities include maintenance, software installation, and first and second-level problem resolution for computers and printers.Essential JobAssist faculty, staff, and students with technical issuesInstall software and hardwareAnswer inbound phone calls when neededInventory of equipment, data entry, and documentation of assets and ticketsProperly enter and manage incident and service request ticketsMaintain Information Technology and media equipmentMaintain and clean work areas and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to work well with othersStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite)Preferred Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated experience working in a help desk settingExperience working within a collegiate settingExperience with ColleagueOne year experience troubleshooting computers, printers, and Audio/VisualPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
