POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field IT Lead at Beusa Energy will provide leadership and technical oversight for IT operations supporting mobile frac fleet systems. This role ensures reliable connectivity, optimal performance of networked devices, and seamless integration of IT hardware across fleet equipment. The Field IT Lead will manage provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities while driving process improvements, enforcing compliance, and mentoring team members.

This position requires close collaboration with field operations, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to resolve complex issues, implement best practices, and maintain high service standards. The Field IT Lead will also champion continuous learning and innovation to keep field IT operations aligned with emerging technologies and organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and mentor Field IT technicians, ensuring timely issue resolution and adherence to service standards.
Device Provisioning & Configuration: Oversee setup and configuration of IT hardware (computers, monitors, switches) for deployment on mobile frac fleet equipment.
Network Support & Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance of network devices and troubleshoot connectivity issues across PCs, servers, printers, cameras, and other connected systems.
Technical Escalation & Incident Management: Lead resolution of complex technical issues and critical incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventory of computing assets tied to fleet operations, including deployment records and maintenance schedules.
System Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate reports on system health, ticket resolutions, and maintenance activities.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure IT operations comply with company policies and industry regulations; maintain detailed documentation of procedures and configurations.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system reliability and operational efficiency; stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
Ability to travel to remote fleet sites as needed.
Industry certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Minimum 4–5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or advanced technical role.
Proficiency with Windows OS administration and patching tools.
Prior experience in field or fleet-based IT environments strongly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and routing concepts.
Experience with IT hardware deployment and maintenance (PCs, printers, switches, access points).
Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk) and remote support tools.
Knowledge of patch management tools and endpoint security solutions.
Competency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Teams, and mobile device setup.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, system logs, and network diagrams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. The Field IT Lead works primarily indoors and will be sitting for prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. The Field IT Lead may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Field IT Lead must be able to lift 25lbs.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination, depending on job demands.
