This role will provide operational support for business-critical application platforms, with specific emphasis on Axway SecureTransport for managed file transfer operations and Tidal Enterprise Scheduler for workload automation and job scheduling.The ideal candidate has strong Linux administration skills, understands how applications run on Linux, has a working knowledge of database administration concepts, and can support scheduled jobs, batch processing workflows, and operational troubleshooting across application, database, and infrastructure layers.Key ResponsibilitiesLinux Application AdministrationAdminister and support Linux-based enterprise applications across production, test, and development environments.Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux servers and application components.Candidate should be comfortable to work in Hawaii time zoneManage application services, processes, configuration files, file systems, permissions, certificates, and environment variables.Monitor server and application health, including CPU, memory, disk utilization, logs, services, and storage growth.Perform operational tasks such as application restarts, log reviews, system cleanup, certificate renewals, and access management.Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine Linux and application support activities.Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability procedures for Linux-hosted applications.Required Qualifications8+ ears of Linux system administration experience, preferably supporting enterprise applications.Hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar platforms.Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-hosted applications, services, processes, logs, and configuration files.Working knowledge of database administration concepts, including SQL fundamentals, backups, maintenance activities, connectivity, and performance considerations.Experience supporting job scheduling, workload automation, or batch processing platforms.Proficiency with Bash, shell scripting, or similar automation methods.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
