Job Title: Senior Commodity ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Series Commodity Manager to develop commodity strategies for current and future programs, source and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders to fulfill demand. If you share a passion for beautiful cars, thrive on details, and want to be part of something extraordinary, this is your chance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute supply chain project plans for assigned new product development projects.Manage all aspects of assigned commodities, including commodity strategies, market conditions, technology roadmaps, and should cost creation.Ensure the smooth and cost-efficient material flow to support operations.Manage a supply base that meets Cost, Quality, and Delivery targets.Work in a cross-functional team environment, demonstrating ability to collaborate with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.Mentor and assist junior commodity managers and buyers.Be responsible for the issuance of RFQs.Manage supplier relationships and performance to achieve program milestones and customer requirements.Ensure accuracy of part master data within MRP.Generate purchase requisitions and place Purchase Orders with suppliers to meet demand.Support issuing RFI, RFP, RFQ, PO placement, and other purchasing activities as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in procurement, purchasing, commodity management, and strategic sourcing.Proficiency in ERP systems.Background in the automotive industry, sourcing commodities, and new automotive suppliers.Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related fields.Experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Specialist, GSM, or equivalent roles.Ability to onboard and contract pricing agreements with suppliers.Knowledge of procurement strategies, should cost models, and technology roadmaps.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a rapid growth environment and/or automotive/aerospace.Strong ability to coach and lead team members within the department.A true team player with a positive attitude.Work EnvironmentThe position is onsite in Torrance with working hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Torrance, CA.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.We’re looking for a Senior Series Commodity Manager to develop commodity strategies for current and future programs, source and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders to fulfill demand.
