Senior Zendesk Architect / Senior Systems Lead

Job Title: Senior Zendesk Architect / Senior Systems Lead (Zendesk) Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Experience: 7+ years Position type: Contract W2/C2C Visa: USC/GC Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on Zendesk experience (Support required; Guide, Explore, Talk, and Messaging strongly preferred) Proven experience architecting and scaling Zendesk in a SaaS environment Experience with integrated payments, fintech, or billing/support workflows is a strong plus Experience leading projects or managing people (directly or indirectly) preferred Technical Skills Expert level understanding of Zendesk APIs, apps, and integration patterns Experience with system integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, middleware tools like Zapier, etc.) Experience with AI/automation tools within Zendesk (bots, macros, triage automation) Familiarity with data/reporting tools and building operational dashboards Comfort working with engineering teams on technical implementations Leadership & Communication Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Experience driving system governance and best practices Nice to Have Zendesk certifications (e.g., Zendesk Administrator, Support, or Architect certifications) Experience in multi-brand Zendesk environments Background in CX operations or support leadership If you are currently open to new opportunities, I would appreciate the chance to connect and discuss this role in more detail.
