Job DescriptionPosition Title: EstimatorPosition Reports To: Vice President, Central EstimatingPosition SummaryEstimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project including labor, time and materials requirements to determine overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.Essential FunctionsInterprets and analyzes contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals.Estimates majority of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.Reads and interprets sophisticated specs and drawings. Uses formulas and makes calculations.Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience5+ years of industrial services experience preferred3+ years of experience reading isometric drawings3+ years of experience estimating industrial services lines of business, preferably scaffold and insulationHigh School Diploma or equivalentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work effectively in cross-functional team initiativesKnowledge in safety procedure implementation is a plusAbility to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing prioritiesEffective communication and critical thinking skillsAbility to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlinesCritical in managing the business and identifying problems or opportunitiesDemonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrumsCreative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basisEffective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammatesWork Conditions/Physical DemandsRemaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periodsLight work that includes moving objects up to twenty poundsNo adverse environmental conditions expectedFor over thirty years, Apache Industrial Services has met the needs of the petrochemical, industrial and energy sectors by providing superior quality, service and long-term value to our customers.
