Full Stack Engineer (Contract)

Remote · Independent contractor · 5–15 hours/week to start · $60–$90/hour USD Atlas Systems builds software, automations, integrations, and AI-enabled systems for owner-led businesses. Our multitenant client platform, Atlas Workspace, connects those systems and supports the workflows behind them. We’re early and founder-led. You’ll work directly with the founder to understand business needs, choose an approach, and own features and integrations from requirements through deployment. Projects might include connecting a CRM to an intake workflow, building a client dashboard, or integrating a voice agent with scheduling and follow-up. WHAT YOU’LL DO Build and maintain full-stack features, APIs, webhooks, and integrations between business systems Develop AI-enabled workflows using LLM APIs, tool calling, and voice agents Debug production issues across applications, databases, and third-party platforms Ship tested, maintainable code with documentation that makes ongoing support straightforwardOccasionally join client calls to clarify workflows, gather requirements, or walk through what you’ve built WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Strong production experience with TypeScript, React/Next.js, SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth Experience shipping and supporting integrations, including retries, rate limits, and failure handlingDaily use of AI development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, with the judgment to review and verify their output Ability to break down ambiguous work, raise blockers early, and deliver without close supervisionClear written communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to business owners Stack: TypeScript, Next.js, Prisma, Postgres, and Vercel, with tests on node:test and Playwright. Experience with Twilio, Zapier, HubSpot, QuickBooks, voice AI, or similar platforms is a plus. ENGAGEMENT Flexible schedule, with some overlap during U.S. Eastern business hours Hours vary with project needs, with room to grow Hourly rate based on relevant experience Confidentiality and IP assignment required
