Trauma Registrar

A company is looking for a Trauma Registrar to manage trauma data collection and maintain confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Collect and abstract trauma data into the Trauma Registry database for eligible patients Maintain confidentiality of registry data and provide it for research purposes as needed Required Qualifications, Training, and Education 1 year of coding experience or experience with trauma registry databases in a healthcare setting Pass the AAAM's Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course within 1 year of hire Complete a trauma registry course covering abstraction, data management, reports, data validation, and HIPAA within 1 year of hire Participate in an ICD-10 course or refresher every five years Accrue at least 24 hours of trauma-related continuing education during the verification cycle
