Mobile Diesel Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and machinery in the field. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and industrial equipment operate efficiently, safely, and reliably across various job sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse machinery, including heavy trucks, construction equipment, and industrial vehicles, while providing top-notch service to our clients. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and advanced diagnostic tools Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as semi trucks, box trucks, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to ensure optimal equipment performance Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on automotive and heavy equipment components No Tire Changing required, We sub-Contract Tire calls Some Shop work required as needed Rotating on-call schedule Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment repair is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom modifications or repairs Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized service tools Experience with automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting on various vehicle types Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures for working with large machinery Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to clients or team members Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, shocks & struts replacement Familiarity with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy-duty vehicles This role is ideal for a proactive mechanic with a passion for heavy equipment maintenance who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
