InternLocation: USA - Dallas-Fort Worth Int Apt, Grapevine, Esters BlvdDivision: Air & SeaJob Posting Title: InternTime Type: Part TimeSummary: The internship program grants students the opportunity to gain exposure to freight forwarding and supply chain logistics and apply educational knowledge towards work related projects. At the conclusion of the program, interns will obtain hands-on experience and a solid foundation of supply chain management.Duties and Responsibilities:Support shipment processing within the Air & Sea Division, including assignments of varying complexity such as overland road freight, oversized cargo, and out-of-gauge shipments.Advise department Supervisor or Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, such as the Code of Conduct, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements.Monitor shipment progress and promptly escalate any transaction issues, delays, or irregularities to the Supervisor or Manager.Perform other duties as assigned.Intern to offer feedback on the department they have worked in.All staff: Perform assigned tasks to support DSV, meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment, and follow all requirements as set out in the Quality Health Safety Environment policy.It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure that their day to day activities embrace sustainability/health and safety, therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.Educational background / Work experience:Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent and +18 years oldSkills & Competencies:Accountability: Ability to find pragmatic solutions by using decision making techniquesCustomer Orientation: Customer focus (monitors customer expectations continuously and is willing to adapt own activities/procedures)Collaboration and Influence: Ability to work with different cultures and to manage cross functional interfacesResult Orientation: Ready to take personal accountability for achieving individual and shared goalsPersonal Excellence: Integrity, act as a role model for group values and fully adhere to the Code of Conduct, high energy and resilience, high commitment and positive attitude in the face of setbacks and obstacles, high stress level (ability to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines), be authentic, approachable, open and honest.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge in freight forwarding and logisticsEnglish fluency (written and spoken)MS OfficeFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesAt Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
