Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the ideal candidate will be able to effectively partner with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive employment relations and learning and development services to employees and managers of DOJ.This position is headquartered at the Risser Justice Center located at 17 West Main Street, located in the award-winning city of Madison. The starting base wage will be between $39.99 - $43.08/hour ($83,179 - $89,606 annually). The starting pay will be determined depending upon experience and qualifications. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire. DOJ offers hybrid remote/office work. If interested in remote work, this can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. The selected employee(s) must report to DOJ’s office on the first day of employment. In addition, the employee may need to report to DOJ on short notice as operational needs require. High speed internet access will be required to meet needs of remote work.The Department of Justice does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9.A background check, including fingerprints, will be completed on applicants prior to selection.QualificationsA minimally qualified must have experience with the following:Professional experience (e.g., as an HR Specialist, Generalist, Business Partner or similar role) performing personnel related duties such as evaluating job performance, participation in employee relation matters, providing guidance on HR related policies and procedures, etc.Using database systems and reporting tools in a professional environment including Windows-based software and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, NeoGov, etc.)Providing consultation to employees and supervisors on performance management and learning and development options and/or resources.Presenting complex or technical information in a variety of formats (e.g., verbal briefings, presentations, trainings) to internal and external stakeholders.In addition to the minimum qualifications, a well-qualified applicant will also have professional experience in any of the following:Contributing to program focused projects, such as developing and/or testing applications, developing unit documentation, standard operating procedures, etc.Designing business automation including gathering requirements, mapping processes, and designing implementation plansExperience, training and/or certification in process improvement, design, or business analysis.How To ApplyThe steps to apply online are quick and easy!
