PAR Coordinator - Material Handling Center - Memorial-Parking Garage

Job SummaryThe PAR Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Med/Surg Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) Locations, INFOR PAR/Delivery operations, and PAR projects for CAMC Supply Chain. The coordinator will be proficient in the operation and problem solving of Supply Chain technology used to maintain PAR levels, PAR projects including remodels, customer service on nursing units, etc. They will possess knowledge of all operations to enable them to supervise Supply Chain Technicians in their daily work assignments.The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities, problem solving, and using critical thinking skills to solve PAR related issues on campus and in INFOR. The coordinator will actively participate in outstanding customer service and is responsible for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. They must possess a valid equipment operating license within six months of and be able to safely operate all equipment and must be able to work independently and proactively. The coordinator may access secure medication supply areas to complete assigned job duties.Responsibilities• Oversee PAR activities for CAMC Material Handling Center and related campuses.• Train staff and ensure compliance with department procedures, INFOR compliance, and accrediting body requirements.• Supervise Supply Chain Technicians of all levels• Maintain current department procedure manual and employee training/orientation records.• Provides input for monthly reporting.• Possess and maintain a West Virginia driver's license. A clean driving record is required and must be maintained.• Operates and maintains all warehouse equipment.• Maintains training records for all MHC employees trained in operating warehouse equipment.• Proficient in using the materials management information system.• Perform complex specialized assignments and specialized projects.• Participate in work groups, committees, etc. as a receiving representative and expert.• Work in collaboration with Accounting, department management, Purchasing, and Data Management to continuously improve inventory operations, processes and internal controls.• Lead efforts to evaluate, implement and train employees in the adoption and integration of technology.• Interpret reports and proactively do work related to PAR and PAR projects reporting.• Maintain awareness of minor and major events and transactions in INFOR which may have accounting implications or impact on any of the financial statements including but not limited to changing trends, practices, human or system errors.• Authorizes receipt of incoming products.• Performs internet package tracking• Interacts with hospital and accounting staff to coordinate proper PAR and delivery transactions• Document non-conforming materials in accordance with department procedures.• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPatient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.Competency StatementMust demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.Common Duties and Responsibilities(Essential duties common to all positions)1.
