Unit Description: The Mother & Baby Unit (M&B) at UVMMC is a 31-bed unit providing post-partum care, education, and lactation consultation for families after birth. Labor & Delivery at UVMMC averages 2,200 to 2,300 deliveries per year. Registered Nurse Lactation Consultants seek out their IBCLC certification.On-call: Not required. Requirements: Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required. ADN required, BSN preferred. Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
