About the Role
Triangle is hiring a Laser Machine Operator to keep die-making production moving by setting up and running laser equipment with tight accuracy. This job matters because a clean, correct cut upstream saves rework and protects deadlines. Responsibilities: - Set up and operate laser cutting equipment from job tickets, CAD layouts, and production specs - Complete make-readies (material/board setup, alignment, correct program selection) - Watch runs for quality, perform in-process checks, and adjust as needed to meet spec - Log counts, downtime, and production notes in the system - Handle basic troubleshooting, routine cleaning/lube, and escalate bigger issues - Maintain a safe, organized work area; follow PPE and safety rules - Pitch in with cross-training and help other equipment/areas during peak loads
What You'll Do
Set up and operate laser cutting equipment per job tickets, CAD layouts, and production specs
Perform make-readies and ensure correct material/board setup, alignment, and program selection
Monitor machine performance during runs to ensure quality and accuracy
Complete in-process checks, make adjustments as needed, and verify parts meet specifications
Maintain production records, counts, and downtime notes in the system
Troubleshoot basic machine issues and escalate more complex concerns to maintenance/leadership
Perform routine preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, basic part replacement)
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE/safety requirements
Support cross-training and assist other departments/equipment during peak workloads
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior machine operation experience preferred (laser experience is a plus, but not required with strong aptitude)
Ability to read job tickets, CAD images, and basic blueprints
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
Basic math skills (measurements, counts, waste tracking)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Manufacturing floor environment with varying noise levels; PPE required
Standing/walking/bending; repetitive movements
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
Ability to work safely around sharp tools and moving equipment
