The position is directly accountable to execute the sales and margin business plan as it pertains to the P&L statement. This person will need to have the desire and drive to win every day and the sales aptitude necessary to deal with a wide range of customers. This position will report directly to the Sales Director and assist in setting the strategic focus for the entire Fleet & Indirect Regional business. Fleet Sales Rep Development:Set territory objectives for individual Reps.Meet with individual Reps Bi-Weekly to conduct 1:1’sSet necessary expectation for individual Reps and hold Reps accountable for performanceMeasure individual Rep performance versus annual territory objectivesCreate annual goals for individual Rep to assist in the professional development of everyone on the teamHire, coach, mentor, and train new sales representativesAssist sales development process through 1:1 in-field effortsAt least 50% of time spent in ride alongs and joint selling with teamContinually coach Fleet Team on sales process and assist in winning new business Product Line Management:Lead and execute sales development strategies with in-field Sales RepresentativesIdentify/communicate technical needs of customerDevelop, execute and analyze intelligence activities (i.e. industry trends, etc.)New product development trendsField questions from sales representatives on product Profit, Margin and Business Management:Participate in the development, implementation, and communication of the financial commitments and goals for the Fleet & Indirect division and monitor the expensesParticipate in day-to-day management and financial and goal review meetings for the Distribution DivisionContribute in strategic long-term management, visioning and position of the entire companyParticipate in loaned equipment approval processManage prices as dictated by the market and company defined margin expectations through Business Development groupBuild relationships with warehousing, dispatch and delivery teamsDevelop strong cross functional team in WisconsinFoster and grow Wisconsin sales pipelines in heavy duty applications, targeting excavation/construction, trucking, paving & asphalt, waste/recycling, municipalities, agg, and any company that utilizes heavy duty lubricants and chemicals Marketing Programs for Fleet:Coordinate business development funds (BDF) allocation for Fleet marketing opportunitiesMarket analysis - what’s happening in your businessAssociation participation & administrationCommunicate sales promotions to sales representativesCoordination and application of supplier advertising/promotion programsCoordination and application of Ascentek advertising/promotionsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business AdministrationExperience And/or Training5+ years related sales and management experience License/ CertificationValid driver’s license and proven safe driving record Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExperience with CRM (Salesforce)Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills related to pivot tables and data analysisPhysical DemandsSitting for extended periodsComputer and phone useWalking and moving around job sitesWorking in tight or confined spacesLifting and carrying materials up to and over 25 lbs.Mental DemandsReading and comprehensionProblem-solving and reasoningDecision-makingMultitasking and prioritizationAttention to detailBasic math and analytical skillsWorking EnvironmentOutdoor weather exposureModerate noise levelsConstruction and active work site conditionsAt Ascentek, we are committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information about our career opportunities.
