Six Color Press Helper

Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings, is seeking a Six Color Press Helper/Feeder for its Mt. Pleasant, PA facility.The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience working on a web or sheetfed press in printing.Cenveo offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.Reads instructions and assists in press setup.Assists in preventative maintenance on presses such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers and other small moving parts.Reads and follows Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemicals used.Sees to the proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.Assists with press cleaning and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly.Other (Non-Essential) FunctionsIncludes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.Complies with safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire; steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed), is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, always make sure safety guards and contactors are in place and operational.Maintains housekeeping in work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc).Other duties as assigned.Will be moved to other production tasks as business needs dictate.Physical Requirements & Environmental ConditionsReqularly required to stand and walk- 8 hours or more.Often required to bend, kneel, climb, or reach.Occasional lifting and pushing/pulling and/or move up to 50 pounds.Occasional repetitive motion with both hands.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc -all materials an employee may come in contact with are detailed with readily available MSDS sheets), and constant noise.Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.Cenveo is an EEO Employer.Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience working on a web or sheetfed press preferred.Good mechanical problem-solving skills.Comfortable working with large mechanical equipment.Ability to follow federal and state hazardous waste handling and disposal regulationsAbility to work under pressure and meet short deadlinesAbility to read, understand and apply written instructions.Must be able to work OT as needed up to 12 hours, days/nights and front end/back end of the week
