Senior DevSecOps/Cloud Platform Engineer
Overview:
In this role you will modernize and automate enterprise infrastructure in a secure AWS GovCloud environment. You will work with OpenShift, containerized workloads, and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and security compliance. You'll collaborate across infrastructure, development, and security teams to resolve issues and document architecture and procedures. This position offers remote work with occasional face-to-face coordination and a federal-security context that shapes how you deliver impactful cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain AWS and OpenShift infrastructure
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
- Migrate applications from VM-based to containerized environments
- Automate infrastructure to minimize manual configuration
- Troubleshoot cloud infra, Kubernetes workloads, networking, and connectivity
- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and operations teams
- Embed security and compliance into deployment and infrastructure management
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and procedures
- Identify improvements for platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
Key requirements:
- US Citizenship and active Secret clearance 7+ years of hands-on systems administration
- Bachelor's degree
- Hands-on AWS cloud experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, networking)
- Docker and Kubernetes expertise
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Strong RHEL administration, scripting, and config management
- DevSecOps experience integrating security and compliance into workflows
- Networking and security fundamentals (DNS, TLS/SSL, firewalls, load balancers)
- Troubleshooting complex enterprise environments independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams
