Cytotech / Cytogenetics Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,676 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/22/2026 About the Position Job Title: Cytotechnologist Profession: Cytotechnologist Specialty: Anatomic Pathology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Experience: 2 years of cytotechnology experience screening non-gynecological specimens, including fine needles License: Bachelors Degree from an approved cytotechnology program Certifications: Cytotechnologist ASCP certification is required and must be maintained at all times Must-Have: Graduation from an approved cytotechnology program Description: Under the supervision of the Medical Director of Anatomic Pathology, this role performs microscopic evaluation of human cellular samples. This position provides preliminary interpretations for non-gynecologic specimens. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and documenting key findings. This role includes quality control and overseeing the receipt, accessioning, and processing of cytology specimens. Additional related duties will be assigned as needed.
