Behavior Technician – Adult Male ClientBehavior Technicians work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)® to teach meaningful, lasting skills to individuals with a variety of needs.This position will primarily work one-on-one with an adult male client. The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, comfortable working with adults, and interested in helping someone build greater independence and meaningful life skills.Curious what the role is really like? It’s a great way to see if this position is a good fit for you!https://youtu.be/0HZg_7SbEkM?si=FYI1A-68oropj21WResponsibilitiesProvide behavior-analytic services in a home and community-based settingWork one-on-one with an adult male clientEstablish rapport and build a positive working relationship with the client and familyTeach functional and life skills that support independence and quality of lifeUse preventative strategies to reduce the likelihood of challenging behaviorRespond to challenging behavior as indicated on the behavior planRecord data related to skill acquisition and behavior reductionCommunicate barriers, progress, and suggestions to the designated BCBA®Incorporate feedback and training during sessionsWrite a brief summary of each shift workedMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentReliable attendanceAbility to respond appropriately to challenging behavior, including aggression, after trainingAbility to pass a background checkReliable transportationComfortable working one-on-one with an adult male clientPreferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree related to human services (completed or in progress)Interest in a career in human servicesExperience working with adults with developmental or behavioral needsExperience providing Naturalistic/Incidental TeachingFamiliarity with behavior-analytic principlesTrainingNew hires will receive extensive training prior to working with clientsTraining will begin as soon as possibleOngoing training will be provided during sessions for a minimum of two hours per weekWage: $18–$22/hour (depending on experience)Job Type: Part-TimeSchedule: May varyWork Location: In personBenefits: Professional development assistance
