Job Title: Supervisor, Operations Location: Currie, NC Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Onsite – onsite Overview System One is hiring a Supervisor, Operations who will be responsible for leading daily production across paint, fabrication, and welding while driving lean daily management, operational efficiency, and workforce performance. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this role oversees hourly employees, improves productivity, and ensures operational priorities are executed safely, consistently, and on time. Candidates must be local to Currie, NC or looking to relocate.ResponsibilitiesLead daily production across paint, fabrication, and welding operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timelinessDrive lean daily management initiatives to increase operational visibility, quick issue resolution, and disciplined team operationsManage staffing deployment, work sequencing, and productivity to optimize labor utilization and meet production schedulesSupervise hourly employees, providing coaching and performance feedback to meet daily output and quality standardsTrack performance metrics related to production, quality, safety, and attendance; use data to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce rework, and improve shop-floor efficiencyStandardize work practices, reinforce accountability, and promote problem-solving at the sourceEnsure a safe, organized, and high-performance work environment across all areas assignedPartner with support functions to remove obstacles impacting delivery, throughput, or qualityFoster a strong shop-floor culture emphasizing operational excellence, respect, and ownershipRequirements5+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, paint operations, or a related production environmentPrior supervisory or team leadership experience managing hourly employees in a shop-floor settingWorking knowledge of lean daily management, productivity improvement, and operational efficiency practicesAbility to manage employee performance, address issues directly, and build accountability within a teamStrong communication, organization, and follow-up skillsBachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferredManufacturing leadership experience with an associate degree or technical training will also be consideredExperience supporting safety, quality, and delivery performance in a regulated environmentFamiliarity with KPI tracking, visual management, and continuous improvement toolsKnowledge of workforce scheduling, labor planning, and productivity managementExperience developing frontline employees and building a performance-driven cultureSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
