Title: Senior Data Migration Validation AnalystLocation: Phoenix, AZ (Local Candidates Only)Work Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite once a week or as needed)Job Type: Contract 6 months DurationJob SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Data Migration Validation Analyst to lead end-to-end data reconciliation and validation activities for a large-scale data migration initiative. This role will ensure data integrity throughout the migration process from a legacy mainframe environment to a SQL staging database and ultimately into Salesforce CRM. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Salesforce, legacy data validation, and data quality assurance to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable data migration.Key ResponsibilitiesValidate data across all stages of the migration pipeline, ensuring record counts, hash totals, and financial/statistical summaries reconcile accurately.Perform end-to-end data reconciliation between legacy systems, SQL staging databases, and Salesforce.Review Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents and validate transformation logic, data types, business rules, and field mappings.Develop and execute advanced SQL queries for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation.Validate Salesforce data using SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench, ensuring data integrity, object relationships, External IDs, and parent-child mappings.Identify, document, and track data quality issues such as duplicate records, orphaned records, null values, encoding issues, and transformation defects.Collaborate with ETL developers, Salesforce developers, business analysts, and QA teams to resolve data migration issues.Automate validation and comparison processes using Python (Pandas) or advanced Excel/Power Query where applicable.Support migration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation activities.Ensure compliance with established data governance and quality standards throughout the migration lifecycle.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL Server, Salesforce Service Cloud, and data conversion testing/validation.Strong experience with complex SQL queries including joins, CTEs, window functions, and data profiling.Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, including standard and custom objects, SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench.Experience validating legacy data, including fixed-width flat files and EBCDIC-to-ASCII conversions.Experience with Python (Pandas) or advanced Excel/Power Query for automated data comparison and validation.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with ETL tools such as Informatica.Exposure to AI-assisted data validation or automation tools is a plus.Experience supporting enterprise-scale data migration or modernization initiatives.
