Job Title: Professional 1, Engineering InternLocation:920 E 19th Street, Columbus, Nebraska – 68601Duration: 4 Months +Payrate: 20$/hr on W2#2956Description:Internship Role: 1st Shift M-F (start time flexible 7AM or 8AM) 8 hr shiftPay Rate: $20.00 p/hWe are seeking a hardworking and determined Engineering student to join our team as a summer intern. Students are typically assigned a mentor who will direct their summer or co-op work experience. Work on project assignments will be commensurate with the student's academic background to take advantage of their technical expertise and provide real life application of their classroom knowledge. At the same time, opportunities will be provided for students to expand their knowledge outside the boundaries of their classroom experiences.Typical roles our engineer interns hold are:• Process Engineer Roles• Operations / Production Engineer Roles• Project Management RolesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:1. Provide support in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment2.Troubleshooting/Root Cause analysis3. Work with a mentor on project assignments which are commensurate with academic background4. Work with a mentor on project assignments outside of classroom curriculum to gain experience5. Apply classroom knowledge to real life applications while using technical expertise6. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.DELIVERABLESSuccessful completion of work/project assignmentsGain application experience of curriculum SUPERVISION• This role does not have direct reports. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSMinimum Education:This position has the following educational requirements: H.S, Diploma/GEDBA/BS Degree- Preferred Completed Sophomore year in an engineering programMinimum Experience/Qualifications:18 years of age or olderLegally authorized to work in the United StatesPossesses or currently pursuing a degree in EngineeringAvailable to work a minimum of eight continuous weeksMust be willing to work in any of our Columbus manufacturing locations 3.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s):SolidWorks/AutoCAD(preferred) Fabrication, automation, industrial experience (preferred)
