Application Development Manager - JD Edwards

Overview:We are seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to lead a team supporting JD Edwards and other business-critical systems. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight-managing developers, driving application initiatives, and ensuring technology solutions align with business needs across manufacturing, finance, and operations.You'll play a key role in modernizing systems, improving processes, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions that support day-to-day operations and long-term growth.Location: Andover, MA (on-site)Company: Established manufacturing company with 50+ years of success and a strong, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application developers supporting JD Edwards and related systemsOversee the full application lifecycle, including enhancements, integrations, and new developmentPartner with business stakeholders to prioritize projects and deliver practical, high-quality solutionsIdentify opportunities to automate processes and improve system performance and usabilityMaintain oversight of application architecture, standards, and system integrationsContribute to budgeting, vendor management, and cost optimization initiativesWhat We're Looking For:Strong experience with JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne or World) development and supportBackground managing application development teams and multiple concurrent projectsExperience with ERP integrations and enterprise systems in a manufacturing or distribution environmentSolid understanding of modern development practices (Agile, DevOps, system architecture)Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and business teamsAdditional Details:U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder requiredRelocation assistance available for candidates open to moving to the Andover, MA area
