Come join us for an extraordinary career in a high growth, team-oriented company!Position SummaryThe Regional Distribution Center Manager is the senior on-site leader responsible for operating and scaling a flagship Regional Distribution Center (RDC) within the NCS network. This is not a maintenance role, it is a build-and-lead assignment that requires an operator who can recruit and develop a high-performing team, and establish the operational standards that will serve as the blueprint for the broader RDC network.This leader will own the complete P&L for their facility, maintain best-in-class inventory accuracy, deliver daily operational visibility to leadership, and serve as the critical link between the RDC and the broader NCS organization/VP. They must think like an owner: anticipating problems before they escalate, partnering proactively with peers and cross-functional teams, and using data and critical thinking—not just experience—to drive decisions. accountable for results top to bottomInventory Accountability & Warehouse OperationsOwn full inventory accountability for the RDC, including daily cycle counts, variance resolution, and root cause analysis of discrepancies; maintain inventory accuracy at or above 95%Manage receiving, put-away, pick, pack, and ship processes to ensure the full NCS product suite is available and delivered accurately, on time, and to the correct locationEstablish and enforce inventory control SOPs covering damage prevention, lot rotation, shrinkage mitigation, and product integrity from receipt through final mile deliveryConduct regular physical audits and reconcile system records (WMS/ERP) to identify and correct discrepancies before they impact customer fulfillmentDaily Reporting & Data-Driven Decision MakingPrepare and distribute daily operational reports covering order fulfillment rates, inventory positions, labor productivity, shipping accuracy, and open exceptionsAnalyze key performance indicators (KPIs) daily and weekly to identify trends, flag risks, and drive corrective action before issues compoundLeverage WMS to translate operational data into actionable insights; present findings to leadership and site team with clear recommendationsTrack and report on facility P&L performance, including labor cost per unit, cost per order, and budget-to-actual varianceEscalation Management & Timely ResolutionServe as the primary escalation point for customer complaints, service failures, and supply chain disruptions; own resolution from identification through closure with documented root cause and corrective actionEscalate issues to the VP of Distribution and cross-functional partners within defined SLAs, providing context, impact assessment, and proposed solutions—not just problemsMaintain a real-time escalation tracker and ensure no open issue exceeds 24 hours without a status update to affected stakeholdersProactively identify potential service risks and communicate them upstream before they become customer-impacting eventsCross-Functional Partnership & Peer CollaborationPartner with peer RDC Managers and the corporate distribution team to share best practices, align on standard operating procedures, and drive consistency across the networkCollaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Transportation teams to optimize order flow, resolve fulfillment gaps, and improve the end-to-end customer experienceParticipate in weekly cross-functional syncs and contribute operational intelligence that informs demand planning, product allocation, and network strategyCritical Thinking & Continuous ImprovementApply structured problem-solving methodologies (5 Whys, fishbone analysis) to diagnose operational breakdowns and implement sustainable fixesChallenge the status quo: identify inefficiencies in workflows, layouts, and processes, then design, pilot, and scale improvements with measurable ROIEvaluate staffing models, shift structures, and labor allocation using data rather than assumptions; adjust dynamically to meet fluctuating demandConduct post-mortem reviews on major service failures or safety incidents and implement preventive measures to ensure non-recurrenceLead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance managementDefine and communicate clear performance expectations for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement; hold the team accountable through regular 1:1s and performance reviewsChampion a safety-first culture: ensure 100% completion of required training, enforce OSHA/EPA compliance, conduct regular safety walks, and drive toward zero recordable incidentsFoster an environment of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning aligned with NCS Values and VisionCompliance & RegulatoryEnsure full compliance with all federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping regulations, including OSHA, EPAStay current on regulatory changes; advise leadership on required actions and implement updates proactivelyMaintain all required documentation, certifications, and audit-ready records for the facilityManagement retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and progressive experience)Minimum 7–10 years of warehouse/distribution operations experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership roleDemonstrated P&L ownership with a track record of managing budgets and driving cost optimizationProven experience standing up a new facility or leading a major operational transformationHands-on proficiency with WMS/ERP platforms and strong working knowledge of BI/reporting toolsDeep knowledge of warehousing/distribution design, inventory management systems, and transactional processingStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with a track record of data-driven decision makingExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadershipProject management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience in automotive aftermarket, car wash, or chemical distribution industriesDemonstrated continuous improvement experienceExperience managing multi-shift or multi-site distribution operationsFamiliarity with route optimization and last-mile delivery logisticsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. required;
